The Lucknow International Model United Nations Conference will proudly host four simulated committees from the United Nations. With the presence of multiple member states, international organizations, and related governmental and non-governmental bodies, the debate and discussion will be driven by the delegates. Guided by the best executive board members, the committees will witness exhaustive and efficient dialogue over the most pressing issues of today’s world.

It is with great pleasure and honor that we are proud to invite you to the second edition of Lucknow International Model United Nations, which will take place in Lucknow from April 11th to April 12th, 2020.
LIMUN is highly committed with academic and administrative excellence, offering a unique MUN experience to students not only from India but from all over the world. With nearly 300 delegates expected, we are more confident of having two days of enriching the debate and inspiring agendas. Our conference fosters problem-solving skills and allows new students to gain a first taste of organized debate and provides veteran students the opportunity to hone their debating and public speaking skills.
LIMUN 2020 seeks to present “new perspectives for a changing world”, and that means going beyond our 2-day simulation. LIMUN has become an extension project which includes society as a whole. For instance, the preparation course “Simulations as a tool for teaching and learning in International Relations.” Our goal is to integrate as many different people as possible into the debate of and on the UN and also about other international issues of paramount importance to the world as a whole.
We pride ourselves on being able to cater to all skill levels: novice delegates to the most experienced delegates will find committees here that fit their abilities and interests. To ensure that everyone comes out knowing that they have had the most productive time possible at the conference, we limit our committees to a small and manageable number. This regulation of committee size affords our newer delegates the ability to speak their positions effectively, whereas at a larger conference they may not be heard to this extent.
As such, LIMUN is utterly committed to an excellent two-day conference, with discussions about some of the most important topics on the international agenda. In this year’s edition, we encourage the participants, both staff and delegates, to envision new perspectives to understand the changing world we live in. Delegates should get in contact with new perceptions and aspirations, different people, thoughts, ideas and backgrounds since sometimes great differences actually hamper solutions. We ask delegates and staff to engage in a project that places them in the UN environment in order to make them conscious of how deep are the direct and indirect impacts of actions of the United Nations in our lives.
